About this Event
Our monthly event where members and non-members come together to network.
Open to both members and non-members! This is a casual event to connect, collaborate, and inspire. Whether you're a seasoned pro, an aspiring creator, or just curious about filmmaking, this event is the perfect opportunity to meet others who share your passion.
It's a great chance to learn, network, and spark new ideas. This month we conclude our short series on spotlighting local filmmakers who are at different points in their journey. This time we’ll be talking with an established filmmaker about how they got to be where they are.
This event is sponsored by the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers. CSIF was founded in 1978 by a collective of twelve filmmakers who saw the growing need for film resources and film equipment on the traditional Treaty 7 territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Iyarhe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), also known as Calgary, Alberta. Now over 40 years later we are an integral part of the growing cultural community in Calgary and are excited about new collaborations and opportunities.
