Shooting Motion Picture with the DSLR Canon 5D Saturday June 2, 2012 10am-5pm
This 1 day comprehensive workshop will focus on the best ways to utilize a DSLR for any project, as well as troubleshooting any scenarios or issues that may arise from DSLR production. If you have your own camera please feel free to bring it. The workshop will cover the main principles of the camera. Participants will learn the basics of the camera and use this knowledge to go into the field and start recording images with sound.

Basic Camera
Saturday June 16, 10-5 The Filmmakers most basic, and most important tool is the motion picture camera. Only with a thorough understanding of camera operation can the filmmaker concentrate on the more creative aspects of cinematography. This daylong workshop will focus on the image gathering process of filmmaking. Topics that will be covered are camera care and operation, lighting control, exposure and filtration, lenses, camera and scratch testing and film stocks. This workshop will cover 16mm cameras. Together the participants will shoot film during the course of this workshop, a later date will then be scheduled for screening and discussing the variations in the different film stocks.
