This is part of our series Cowboys and Samurais, where we’re investigating how the Western informed the samurai film and vice versa. Subtitled Don’t Kill Yourself we will watch a classic samurai film from the 1960s and discuss how it incorporated elements of the Western while also becoming known as one of the best films of all time.
